MCS Tank Service Inc. · Fuel Tech

Privacy Policy

Effective October 23, 2026

1. Scope and contact

MCS Tank Service Inc. (MCS) operates Fuel Tech for its service operations. This policy describes information handled through the staff application and customer estimate-response pages. It does not describe unrelated MCS websites, offline records or the independent practices of third-party services.

Contact info@mcstank.com with questions about Fuel Tech information, access or privacy.

2. Information the application handles

Information may come from you, authorized MCS staff, customers, existing business lists or a connected service. Provide only information relevant to the business task.

3. How information is used

MCS uses this information to manage accounts and permissions, coordinate service, maintain site and equipment history, prepare documents, communicate with customers, track inventory and recorded payments, investigate errors, and protect the application. Business records also support accounting, recordkeeping and the handling of disputes or legal obligations.

4. QuickBooks Online connection

A Fuel Tech owner starts the connection and authorizes access with Intuit. Fuel Tech receives authorization tokens; it does not receive your Intuit password. It stores encrypted connection tokens, the connected company's identifier and name, and connection metadata.

The current integration reads QuickBooks company information and item records, including names, SKUs, item types, active status and quantities. Item records are displayed for review and are not automatically imported into Fuel Tech inventory. Current QuickBooks functions do not create invoices, payments, purchases or stock adjustments.

You can revoke Fuel Tech's access through QuickBooks' connected-app controls. Revocation stops authorized API access but does not automatically remove connection metadata or existing MCS business records. Contact MCS to request removal of retained connection information. Any future synchronization features and related information uses must be reflected in this notice before activation.

5. Who receives information

Authorized MCS staff can access records according to their roles and assigned permissions. Customer documents and messages are shared with the recipients selected by authorized staff, and estimate links allow the recipient to review the associated estimate.

The application uses Vercel for hosting, Neon for database and private file storage, and Resend for application email delivery. These providers process information needed to operate their respective functions. Intuit processes authorized QuickBooks requests. A recipient's email provider also processes messages sent to that recipient.

MCS may disclose relevant records when legally required or when needed to protect rights, investigate misuse or handle a business dispute. External websites and connected services have their own privacy terms.

6. Cookies, browser storage and device access

Fuel Tech uses a secure, HttpOnly session cookie for staff sign-in. Browser storage can retain interface preferences and locally saved form or draft information. Clearing cookies signs you out; clearing browser storage can remove locally saved work and preferences.

Camera and file-selection features are used when you choose to scan a barcode, capture a photo or upload a document. Review what you submit. Sign out on shared devices and avoid leaving locally saved business information accessible to other users.

7. Security

The application uses HTTPS, server-side access checks, role-based permissions, salted password hashing and encrypted QuickBooks tokens. These controls reduce unauthorized access risks but cannot guarantee that an online service or device will never be compromised. Report suspected account or information exposure to MCS promptly.

8. Retention and requests

Saved business records are not automatically deleted when a job finishes, a staff account is disabled or a QuickBooks connection is revoked. MCS retains records for its service history, business, accounting and legal needs. Deletion from active systems may not immediately remove copies in backups or records held by recipients and service providers.

Contact info@mcstank.com to request access, correction or deletion of information. MCS may need to verify your identity and authority over the records. Requests are evaluated in light of applicable rights, operational needs and record-retention obligations. Avoid sending passwords, security keys or unnecessary sensitive information with a request.

9. Changes

MCS will update this page when the application's information practices change and revise its date. Additional notice or consent will be provided where required. Questions about a change can be directed to the contact above.
